Lavish Tides was born out of a simple moment. Just me, the beach, and the feeling of not wanting to leave it behind. That’s what I try to bottle up in every piece I make: a little sun on your skin, salt in your hair, and that quiet, grounding energy that only the ocean brings.

My Story

My name, Galina, comes from the Greek word Galene, the goddess of calm seas. That pull to the water has always been with me.

I grew up spending summers at the Black Sea. My brother and I would stack stones and skip them across the water. I can still remember the feeling of warm sun on my skin and the sound of the waves swallowing our laughter. Those were the moments I felt most connected. Most grounded. Most me.

Years later, after a beach trip, I made a pair of earrings from a few shells I had picked up. I didn’t plan it. But when I wore them, something clicked. It felt like I had found a way to carry the sea with me, wherever I went. That spark grew into a passion for creating jewelry that holds onto those same feelings of freedom, grounding, and connection to the water.
